Mark Madoff Dogged by Picard Suit
Dec-11-2010--Among the pressures Mark Madoff was facing, a strongly worded lawsuit by Irving Picard might have been among the greatest. Almost a year after the multibiliion dollar fraud conducted by his father, Bernard Madoff, was revealed,both Mark and Andrew Madoff were sued by Mr. Picard, the trustee gathering assets for Bernard Madoff's victims. Also named were their uncle Peter and cousin Shana, who worked with them at the firm. Mr. Picard accused Mark Madoff in the October 2009 lawsuit of receiving at least $66.9 million improperly through the investment company.
