Egypt protesters call for postponement of elections
Nov-23-2011--Egyptian protesters want elections scheduled for Monday to be postponed and a council of elders to replace the military rulers who on Wednesday again sent in security forces to quell demonstrating crowds.
The current protests are seen as a second -- and decisive -- phase of the January revolution that led to the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak.
In the symbolic heart of the revolution, Tahrir Square, demonstrators were chanting the same slogans used 11 months ago, but this time directing them at the interim military ruler,
"If the wheels of democracy move on Egypt and this problem is still here, then democracy will have failed,"

After 5 days,
no break in Egypt's turmoil
Nov-23-2011-CAIRO -With a milestone election just five days away, Egypt showed no sign Wednesday of recovering from a spasm of violence that has wrecked the campaign period and spiraled into a rebellion that now threatens the ruling military council's grip on the nation.
The bloodshed continued for a fifth consecutive day despite international appeals for calm and limited concessions put forth by the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces to address demands that it transfer power to a civilian transitional authority immediately.
The council ceded no new ground, however, and nobody could say for sure how to rescue a country whose uprising against authoritarianism had captured the world's imagination and inspired other Arab revolts.
"We're crying out for freedom," "They're treating the Egyptian people like cows, like we don't understand anything. So we must send a message: This is our revolution, and it's not finished yet."

Homeless Fill America's Streets
Nov-23-2011--The world is now seeing the economic uncertainty of the U.S. but for many Americans, it has been apparent for quite some time. Nov-23-2011--FRANKFURT — Germany’s stature as an island of stability in the European debt crisis was shaken Wednesday when it fell far short of selling all the government bonds it put up for auction.
Investors are beginning to question whether there are any havens left in Europe after German bonds, which the government uses to raise money for operations, got a surprisingly bad reception.
